I love sunday.

Sunday, sunday … it can be such a productive day. Not every sunday, but probably the ones with a relaxing saturday.

Anyway, I’m drifting.

What did I do on this sunday? Well, it’s a combination of creating and a lot of consuming. First things first, let’s talk about what I’ve created.

Social Media People With Sunglasses. I’m actually loving this title. It’s way to long, but it’s sticky none the less. The idea is simple: you’re doing something with social media – there is no real limitation here, although a facebook account alone isn’t enough – and you like wearing sunglasses at night? Then this SMPWS is just the thing for you.

No, there is not a lot of ambition behind that and I’m not expecting Michael Arrington’s photo anytime soon. Fact is, the Internet is allowing such experiments, because the cost of creating and publishing something is just so low. If it goes down the drain: to bad, but it’s not like I actually invested that much into that. Let’s just see how it goes.

That’s that for creation. Let me show you, what I’ve discovered today. Attention: SciFi will play a major role in this one.

Sci-Fi-O-Rama is basically porn for every SciFi fan. There is everything from vintage Russian matchboxes with space ships, to fancy, modern SciFi artist there. It did cost me a couple hours of my time – especially because there are follow up links to the artist sites there -, but I’m feeling much more in sync with my SciFi persona, which didn’t get hurt in the last few month (Star Trek!).

It was Sci-Fi-O-Rama that led me to Eric Carl’s flickr page, which is full of pretty things.

First of, there is a collection of Omni Magazine covers, which is a vintage SciFi Magazine from way back. Each cover looks just stunning, but I would love to have this one as a big poster.

But Eric isn’t only into SciFi. There is also a cool collection of Vintage Advertising and – I loved that especially – a collection of Vintage Brand Logos.
