Wheeew, what a start.
As you might have heard, today at 1200 sharp was your chance to sign up for BarcampCologne3. This chances lasted for about 16 minutes. 240 places have been taken in a rush and even mixxt had their problems to hold the site stable as an eager mob rushed to take their places. You can read the reactions about that on twitter.
After this record (it feels that way, but I’m not actually sure that it’s actually a record of some kind), we’re pretty excited and even Franz is in a good mood.
There is a lot to do for us, the organizers. The hottest topic: sponsors. We’re still looking for sponsors for the BarcampCologne3. I think the eagerness of the crowd is a statement all by itself for our event. So if you do know potential partners, please speak up and tell us about it. There are quite a few options how you can reach us.
Also: every buzz we can generate is helping this and other Barcamps, so don’t hesitate to twitter, blog or write something on a social network of your choice. Thanks.
