HD on cellphones ... go figure.

I just found this video on Martin’s blog and had to share it with you, because it’s really good.

Isn’t it amazing what quality a camera in a cellphone can produce these days? I’m honestly buffed. Compared to this phone my G1 and every iPhone is pretty much a looser. My G1 can’t even record videos right now, but there is hope that a software update will actually change that. I’ll waite, but on some days I do miss my old SE K800i.

Anyway, I do have to agree with Martin on the viral marketing effect of the video. As you can see, it’s spreading. Why? Because it’s just good. That’s a video that can be tagged with authentic, informative, close to the product and it’s just very much believable.

We should be seeing more of those in the coming month, I think. Why? Because that’s a great example on how to actually save money on producing an expensive tv-spot. Almost 500k viewed this video on youtube alone and media outlets tend to integrate even more online content in their streams. And we will see this trend even more as soon more HD cellphone will hit the market, because the quality of the video content will come steadily closer to the quality of content that we are used to see on the TV. It’s a long way to go, sure, but not as long as you might imagine.
